30 Year Anniversary at Teesside Operations
It is 30 years since the major oil and gas facility at Seal Sands came on-stream. Teesside Operations, now owned by ConocoPhillips, receives North Sea oil through a 220 mile undersea pipeline. Natural gas liquids are separated from the crude oil reducing its vapour pressure so that it can then be shipped by conventional crude carriers. The NGL’s are transported on by ship and pipeline.
TVA was commissioned to produce a short programme marking this milestone in the site's history. The programme tells the story of Teesside Operations and features people who have worked at the site over the years. Over 500 copies of the DVD were distributed to staff, customers and suppliers to mark the event.
