HGV Driver Safety for Basell
All HGV drivers arriving at Basell Polyolefins site at Carrington in Manchester now receive a 6-minute safety briefing before being allowed to enter with their vehicle.
The programme which is available in English, French, German, Italian, Polish & Turkish is viewed in the Traffic Office where the driver can select the appropriate language from a touch screen.
The programme covers essential issues ranging from traffic movement, through PPE requirements to Emergency Procedures. Since its introduction compliance with site procedures has improved, with foreign drivers in particular now being aware of their responsibilities.
